I was sifting the early Internet -- Heavy user of Memepool, Yahoo (when it was a directory of links) and (sorry) Fark. I kept seeing links to metafilter, but you couldn't get a membership. Matt would open it up every now and again...I think at noon. Over and over again I tried; and boom - one day I managed to be at the right place and right time.

And this makes me cry. JustOneGirl came to askmefi over the struggle between feeling obligated at work and her dying grandmother. Her post made me cry. My response still makes me cry.
