Meeting the Chicago Cabal (There is no Chicago Cabal)
I was a member of Mefi for 5 years before I ever went to a meetup. I went into Chicago to meet the cabal (there is no cabal) and I have never felt as instantly at home as with Juliet Banana, MissKaz, Eamondaly, Windigo, and all the others I met that day. I never once felt self-conscious or doubted myself even though I had never met any of these people in person before. It was definitely a unique day for me and I had a wonderful time having pizza and then walking to the famous Billy Goat Tavern.
