It's long enough ago that I don't remember how I got here; probably through a link from Kottke or Anil or bluishorange. I didn't register for several months, and finally did less than a month before 9/11. Said event turned me into a constant reader for several years.
We have cameras.
My first post was about a controversial redirect the now-defunct "Disturbing Search Requests" blog put up following the US response to the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Not only did it garner some interesting discussion, but one of DSR's admins joined in. After watching the conversations flow past for months, then joining in myself, it was a rush to start the conversation. Such a rush I posted another one later that day. (Remember when you could do that? No? N00b.)
