Probably through one of the most lame ways possible. A radio documentary on NPR. I had never heard of metafilter but something about Matt's voice that sold me on a simple but engaging concept for a weblog.
Snark to the extreme!
The first time someone responded to one of my comments with snark I found myself feeling quite offended and then I realized it's just something that is built into metafilter. Nothing personal, people from around the world are going to have fun with what you say no matter how you say it. You cannot please everyone.
